Summary
The relevance of this topic arises from society's awareness of the detrimental impact of humanity and accompanying economies on climate change and the environment. Many studies have been conducted on foreign direct investment in Bulgaria, and there is a lot of statistical data for analysis, but there is almost no research on green foreign direct investments in Bulgaria, and there are few empirical data and motivations to try to present these investments, which represent the engine of the green transition and are the future of the economic development of the EU and Bulgaria. The objective is to introduce the audience to the most important factor of the green transition - green foreign direct investments. Statistical methods used for data processing and statistical analysis of the already collected data. Description of the obtained quantitative results in tables, figures, and text includes statistical data (descriptive statistics and assessments of the significance of percentage distributions). It is evident that investments in the green economy and renewable sources are increasing their share in total investments, as this has been turning into a trend for several years now, opening up many prospects for companies embracing green psychology.
