Summary
The current study is a brief overview of price stability in liner shipping over the past year (year 2023) and the beginning of the current year. It shows the importance and relevance of the problem, and how stability in the maritime sector is influenced by external factors and interrelationships. By means of a comparative analysis of the current price imbalances occurring in the sector, we will derive guidelines and instructions for action in specific situations. The report aims to familiarize readers with the pricing process in container shipping. We will help shippers and container brokers to be more flexible in force majeure circumstances and try to create the pillars to build a stable international trade.
